There is the family that we are born into and then there is the family that just BECOMES family. Today my aunt is being buried. We were of no blood relation, but NO ONE can tell me that she wasn’t MY family. No one can tell me that she wasn’t my “Auntie.” Peggy Jean Harris Richardson came into my life when I was about 15 years old. Little did I know then, but her being in my life was purposefully orchestrated by God. She entered my life at a time when I really needed her. I can recount so many times when she showed up for me!

I will forever be grateful for who she was in my life. So many memories. So many stories. She always had my back and if she was pinchin’ pennies for her kids, she was also doing the same for me. We all ate! Auntie, I love you. I thank you. Rest easy. In your memory, I will be buying a box of oatmeal cream pies and NO ONE betta touch ’em either! Go get your man girl! Until we meet again, farewell.

Thinking of you and praying for you. Love you!
