What a year 2020 has been. No need for any recaps. We are all aware of what it’s been like over the last 9 months, I haven’t written in a while. At least I haven’t managed to finish a post and actually press “publish.” It’s like having everything to say, wanting, and needing to say it, but opening your mouth and nothing comes out. Anything that I have managed to express,, never seems to be enough to settle the discontent of my heart, mind & soul. That’s the best way I can describe how I’ve felt over the last few months. How I still feel.
“Cousins are childhood playmates who grow up to be forever friends.”
One of the things that’s helped me during these difficult times has been the women in my life. From weekly virtual happy hours to impromptu “emergency” video chats. Several group text messages and on occasion, virtual game nights. That quarantine bubble started to close in on us and we decided that what we needed was some real IN PERSON girl time. No kids, No husband/boyfriends. Just us, music, food, laughter, girls talk and dranks. That’s exactly what we did. We rented a beautiful 3 story beachfront home with a rooftop seating area in Tybee Island, Ga.

“Cousins by blood. Sisters by heart. Friends by choice.”

“Our roots say we’re cousins. Our hearts say we’re friends.”
Before I drop these photos and FINALLY hit “Publish,” I’d just like to thank, not only the women pictured in these photos, but all of the women in my life. I now understand the importance of sisterhood. The gift of sisterhood. Each woman in my life uniquely contributes to my growth and understanding as a woman. Sisterhood is a beautiful exchange of trust, love and vulnerability. I love you ladies. I appreciate you and I thank you,

I LOVE this and I love you all ❤️. This post warms my heart in so many ways. Good to see you writing (and hitting publish) again #Wifey 🥰
