I typically go about 3 months or so in between loc re-twists. During my first year, I went to my loctician every 4 weeks, but that was mainly because I was new to locs and was really afraid of messing them up in any way. A lot of people cringe when I tell them how long I go without getting my hair retwisted, but I’ve never really been a fan of tamed hair, so my locs are really no different. And for the record, I said that I go about 3 months or so in between loc re-twists. I didn’t say washes. I still wash my hair outside of the salon. So what do I do between re-wists? Some times I just wear it down. I wear scarfs, hats and other hair accessories. A lot of times I just pull it up in a ponytail because I don’t like it on my neck. This Florida heat doesn’t make it any better either. A few weeks ago, I decided to curl my locs again. It’s been over a year since the last time I curled them. This is mainly because I hate sitting underneath the dryer. I received a lot of compliments on my hair, so being that my curls are completely gone right now, I will re-curl soon and share just how I achieved this look. It’s quite easy. Stay tuned…
